What Onco Yoga students say:
Differentials of the Onco Yoga Method:
1. SIDE EFFECTS
Created to help cancer patients in the minimize side effectscommon treatment
2. PROTAGONISM
Onco Yoga also helps to rescue theemotional strength and recovery of theProtagonismwithin our own body, which the diagnosis often takes away from us.
3. WE SHARE
Just like you, me, Camila,I'm also patient oncology and went through several stages of treatment. So, in some way, I identify with issues that you may be experiencing.
4. BODY PHYSIOLOGY
All movements and exercises we do have very clear goals to help you with any question. We encourage thelymphatic system, Oimmune systemand we make movements with an emphasis on intestine.
5. ADAPTABILITY
In this method, we take into account some conditions that the treatment poses to us:
- the risk ofosteoporosis;
- you have PICC or not;
- you have a scholarshipstomaor not;
-to have or not lymphedema.
Some traditional Yoga movements and postures will beavoidedin order toto respectyour body's specific needs.
6. ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT
BEING TRAINING
Onco Yoga starts from the premise that an accessible practice does not necessarily mean a “coffee with milk” practice and just relaxation. Oneaccessible practice is one adapted to the limitations and care that our body needs. But, unlike other so-called accessible practices, in Onco Yoga one of the focuses is the gain ofbone and muscle strength, essential for a bodyless susceptible side effects of treatments.
Other types of Yoga:
1. THEY ARE NOT SPECIFIC FOR ONCOLOGICAL PATIENTS
As much as every yoga practice aims to provide well-being and quality of life, when we arecancer patients, our body demands somespecific needs.
2. RELAXATION X STRENGTH GAIN
Practices focused on relaxation (Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga) are fundamental for our Nervous System. However, these practicesput asidethe fundamental part for us patients, which is themovementand stimulation ofmuscles. Movement is very important for loosening the joints, helping with focus and stimulating the lymphatic system. Muscle stimuli, in turn, are necessary for the gradual gain in bone and muscle strength. At Onco Yoga, we have a balance of all of these:strength, relaxation and movement.
3. TREND
"COFFEE WITH MILK"
As much as the practice of yoga is, as a rule, inclusive for all bodies, if the teacher is not familiar with some issues that are recurrent, the tendency is for him or her to teach a “coffee with milk” or relaxation class . Yes, we need to relax during the treatment, but our bodyyou don't need "just" that. A strong body is much more prepared to undergo treatment with a better quality of life.
In addition, there are important adaptations for each of these questions, which allow the student to have a safe and stimulating practice.

Hello,
I'm Camila Hon!
I'm a yoga teacher and throughout my journey I've been helping people connect more with their bodies.
My way of teaching the physical practice of yoga always starts fromwhyIt isfor whom.Every body is unique and has its ownneeds. When we understand how we can return function, mobility and health to our bodies, we gainautonomyto live with much morequality of viewfrom the.
In early 2022, at the age of 29, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was extremely difficult, as you can imagine, but I knew I had a very powerful tool at my fingertips: yoga.
After a long, unsuccessful search for some type of yoga that was specific to my new reality and the new needs my body would go through, I decided to use my process as my own way of understanding what the tools and exercises would be. who would help me go through each step of the treatment.
And somy mother was bornyoga therapy for cancer patients.
I went after new tools, I made aSpecializationto learn more about mine and the many other types of cancers, all while having my chemotherapy sessions. Between one chemo and another, I developed theOnco Yoga Method, from what I experienced in my body and from classes I offered to other cancer patients.
So, if you are also going through this and would like to know about this method that not only helped me, but has been helping other cancer patients in this huge challenge, click click the button below and join theOnco Yoga Community.

"I started Onco Yoga classesjust 3 weeks ago from my bilateral mastectomy, and they are being fundamental for mypost surgical recovery. Furthermore, I would say that Onco Yoga is the main among all therapies (physio, drainage and consultations) to help lose fear after surgery, resumemobilitywithtrustand reconcile head, intuition and active body!
I'm learning to breathe, listening to the body and relearning to memove without fear!"
"With empathy, kindness, human warmth and understanding, Camila introduced me to Onco Yoga, an important tool that helped me toreplace the fearand uncertainty for trust, well-being andquality of life.
The practice helped me to work with a constipation, pains andfatiguesmuscles caused by chemotherapy, breathing and connecting with the here and now.
These are unique moments that give usstrength, self-control, self-care andenergyto move forward!"
"The Onco Yoga classes have helped me a lot inlate postoperative period. I had a mastectomy and axillary dissection almost a year ago. They have helped me a lot with the shortening of the pectoral muscle and swelling in the arm that I still feel, through exercises designed to stimulate thelymphatic system, stretching andmobility. Respecting my limits, throughout the class, the sensation of shortening decreases and I feel my muscles less tense. Aself drainingit also lessens the heaviness I feel in the arm on the operated side, helping to reduce the swelling.I leave class another person."

Is the Onco Yoga Program (P.O.Y) recommended for which types of cancer? The Onco Yoga Program and Method were created to serve all cancer patients. Onco Yoga is based on the principle that each person and each body is unique. Therefore, we will respect the differences and particularities of each person (and their treatment), offering, within the Program, class options that address specific aspects of the most diverse side effects arising from the treatment (whether it be chemo, radio, immune or hormone therapy)..
-
I recently had a mastectomy, can I do the Program?I am very happy to answer that yes! At the P.O.Y, you will have access to an entire module (Mod. 11) aimed at those who have undergone some type of mastectomy with removal of the axillary lymph node< /strong>. I recorded these classes during my post-surgery recovery process, so everything I tell you there was also essential for my recovery and gradual resumption of mobility. In this module, the main objective is to respect and help your post-surgical recovery process, so everything we will do will be gradual and without overloading your arms. As much as, in general, the medical recommendation is to return to physical activities after at least 1 month, in this module you will find gentle and viable practices from the second week after your surgery, such as practices respiratory and self-draining (to help drain excess fluids and help minimize the formation of underarm cords). In any case, we always recommend talking to your doctor about any activities during this time, and we are happy to join that conversation as well.
-
Should I let my doctor know I'm having the P.O.Y?Yes, please! Everything we will do in the Program will help you to have more well-being and quality of life during your process. Therefore, the classes will be complementary to your treatment. Thus, as we have already highlighted above, it is important to communicate your doctors that you are practicing Onco Yoga. As most likely he or she has not heard of this practice, I recommend attending the classes in Module 02 of the P.O.Y, where I explain in detail the differentials of this method and why it is specific and aimed at patients oncology. So you can explain in detail to your doctors what kind of practice you are doing.
-
Do I need to know what yoga is to participate in the Program?Absolutely not! To practice the Onco Yoga method you don't need to have done yoga before, much less know what it is. This is why the Program is so complete. At P.O.Y you will find, in Module 02, classes in which we will chat about what yoga is and what is the difference between Onco Yoga and other types of yoga. Several tools that I will pass on to you in the Program I learned by living the challenges of having cancer, and I hope that it helps you as much as it helped me.
-
Are all classes recorded?Yes! All classes are recorded in video format and all 62 classes of the Program will already be available for you to watch after completing the purchase.
-
Do I need to take the modules and lessons in the order they are presented? From modules 01 to 03, I recommend yes! These are initial modules, in which I introduce myself, tell my story, share with you important reflections that I learned from this whole process of having cancer and, in addition, I explain what yoga is and what we will do at Onco Yoga. From modules 04 to 12 you are free to choose the class that best meets your needs at each moment, according to each side effect you are experiencing :)
-
What are the forms of payment? You can pay by: - Credit card (you can pay in up to 12 installments!) - PayPal - Samsung Pay / Google Pay - Bank slip - PIX - Or using your Hotmart balance
-
Until when can I watch the Program content? The Program operates on a quarterly subscription model. In this way, after completing the purchase, you will have 3 months to watch the available content. If this time is not enough, you can renew your subscription and extend its term. Every month I will add new lessons in module 12, so you will always find fresh content on P.O.Y :)
-
Why does P.O.Y have a quarterly subscription format? From modules 01 to 11, all 62 classes are already available for you to start doing as soon as you join the Program. As mentioned above, the last module (12) will be constantly updated and you will always have new classes available(at least 2 new practices every month)! That's why you can renew your subscription quarterly to always have access to new content.
-
How does renewing and canceling my subscription work? The Onco Yoga Program works on a quarterly subscription format and the renewals of your subscription are automatic made by the system itself. Therefore, every 3 months it will automatically renew. If you want to cancelyour subscription, you can do so whenever you feel it is necessary. All you have to do is log into your Hotmart account, go to "Set up payment" and click that you want to cancel your subscription. Remembering that if you cancel your subscription, you will no longer have access to Onco Yoga Bonuses (live classes via Zoom, Record Sheet, Onco Yoga Community Group).
Why do practices that strengthen the body during treatment?
Studies provethat ahealthy body and with morelean mass has milder side effectsduring oncological treatment.
The study released by the website breastcancer.org, for example, shows that women with breast cancer who had more lean mass - that is, a healthy presence of muscles in the body - had fewer side effects during chemotherapy.
